This document explains how Opus Language Services AB ("Opus")
collects and processes your personal data. This policy is required by the EU's GDPR
regulations that take effect on May 25, 2018.
When you interact with Opus, either by submitting a request for
information via Opus's website or by emailing or phoning Opus, you normally
provide data that can be used to identify you. This mainly includes your name
and email address.
The legal bases Opus uses to process your personal data are Legal
obligation and Legitimate interest. Both are described below.
According to the Swedish Bookeeping
Act ("Bokföringslagen"), Opus as a business entity is
legally obliged to retain all of its accounting records in Sweden for seven
years. These accounting records can contain personal data, including names,
email addresses, billing addresses, telephone numbers, bank account numbers,
and other data found on the invoices Opus sends to you. Opus stores this data
both on paper and digitally.
This type of personal data is only shared with Opus's accountant
and the Swedish Tax Agency, as required by law. To the best of its knowledge,
Opus does not share this data with any other third parties.
In the interests of doing business with you as per your request,
Opus may save, on Opus's computer, your name, email address and phone number,
as provided by you, in order to be able to communicate with you and do business
with you. Opus does not send you any unsolicited marketing material, do
profiling or the like, or sell any of your data to third parties.
You have the right to request that Opus correct or delete the
contact information about you that is stored on Opus's computer for the purpose
of maintaining contact with you (and, if you are a customer, for billing you).
If you request the deletion of your information, you risk that Opus will not be
able to do business with you.
To do this, send a request to Lisa Del Papa using the Contact form.
That's all, folks! Back to the homepage
